Subscribing to a Module

You can subscribe to any module directly from your dashboard. Payment processing is handled by Stripe -- e-picos never stores your card details directly.

Step 1 -- Find the module you want

On your dashboard, scroll down to the Module Grid. Each module you do not currently own appears as a card with:

  • The module name
  • A short description
  • A price badge showing the monthly cost (e.g. $19/month)
  • Two buttons at the bottom: More Info and Buy Now

If you want to learn more about the module before buying, click More Info -- this opens the module's public website in a new tab. Your dashboard remains open in the original tab.

Step 2 -- Click Buy Now

Clicking Buy Now starts the checkout process:

  1. The button shows a loading state while a secure checkout session is being prepared.
  2. The platform creates a Stripe Checkout session linked to your account.
  3. Your browser is automatically redirected to a Stripe-hosted checkout page in the same tab.

Note: You must be signed in to buy a module. If you try to buy from a public page while signed out, you will be sent to the sign-in page first, and then back to checkout after signing in.

Step 3 -- Enter your payment details

The Stripe checkout page is hosted entirely by Stripe. Here you:

  • Enter your email (pre-filled if available)
  • Enter your card details (number, expiry, CVC)
  • Enter any required billing information
  • Confirm the subscription

Step 4 -- Confirmation

After Stripe processes your payment successfully, you are redirected to a confirmation page.

On success -- "Payment Successful!"

You see a confirmation card showing the module name and its monthly price (e.g. "Calculator & MyData -- $49/month subscription activated"), and the message:

"Your subscription has been activated. You will be redirected to the dashboard in a few seconds."

You are automatically taken back to your dashboard after 5 seconds, or you can click Return to Dashboard to go immediately. Your new module now shows an Active badge.

On failure -- "Payment Failed"

You see an error message:

"There was an error processing your payment. Please try again or contact support if the problem persists."

You are also automatically returned to your dashboard after 5 seconds, or you can click Return to Dashboard. The module remains unowned and you can try again, switch payment methods, or reach out to support.

What's not stored by e-picos

For your security:

  • Your card details are never seen or stored by e-picos. They are entered on Stripe's hosted checkout page and only Stripe holds the full card number.
  • The dashboard only stores the card brand and last 4 digits for display purposes (e.g. Visa 4242), and even those come from Stripe.
  • All refunds, invoices, and payment-method changes go through Stripe, not through the e-picos team.
