Managing Your Subscriptions
You can review and manage your subscriptions from two places.
From the Dashboard
The Subscription Status panel at the top of the dashboard shows:
- A summary of how many modules you currently have active
- A collapsible list of each active module and its expiry date
- A Manage Billing button (top-right of the panel)
Clicking Manage Billing briefly shows a loading state, then redirects you to the Stripe Customer Portal.
From Settings -- Payments
Open Settings from the dropdown in the dashboard header, then choose the Payments tab. This page is titled "Subscription & Payments" and gives you a more detailed view.
Current Subscription card
If you have an active subscription, you see a card with:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Plan | The module name (e.g. Calculator & MyData) |
| Price | Monthly price (e.g. $49/month) |
| Status | The current subscription status -- active, trialing, past_due, canceled, etc. |
| Next billing (or Expires if cancelled) | The date of the next renewal or, if cancelled, when access ends |
| Payment method | The card brand and last 4 digits (e.g. Visa 4242) |
Order History
Below the Current Subscription card you see a list of all your past orders, most recent first. Each order shows:
- An order number (last 8 characters of the checkout session ID)
- The order date in long format (e.g. March 15, 2026)
- The amount in the original currency (e.g. $49.00)
- The payment status -- paid, pending, or failed
If you have never made a purchase, you see the message "No order history available".
Inside the Stripe Customer Portal
The Manage Billing button (from either location) opens the Stripe Customer Portal. From there you can:
- Update your payment method -- change the card on file
- View and download invoices -- get receipts for accounting
- Cancel any subscription
- See your complete billing history
When you finish in the portal and click Return, you are sent back to your dashboard automatically.
If the billing portal cannot be opened for any reason, you will see an alert: "Failed to open billing portal. Please try again."
