Creating an Account

To create an account, click Create one on the sign-in page or open the sign-up page directly. You will see a form titled "Create your account -- Start your research journey with E-PICOS" with two fields and two checkboxes.


Step 1 -- Enter your email and password

Field Requirements
Email Any valid email address
Password At least 12 characters, with at least one uppercase letter, one number, and one special character (e.g. !@#$%^&*(),.?":{}

A small eye icon next to the password field lets you toggle visibility while typing.


Step 2 -- Accept the policies

To proceed, you must tick the checkbox confirming that you accept e-picos's:

  • Privacy Policy
  • Terms of Use
  • Refund Policy
  • Cookie Policy

Each is a link that opens in a new tab so you can read the document before agreeing. If this box is not ticked, the form will show: "Please accept our policies to continue."


Step 3 -- (Optional) Choose email preferences

A second checkbox is also available:

"I would like to receive email updates about new features and promotions."

This is optional and unchecked by default. You can change this preference later from your account settings.


Step 4 -- Submit and confirm your email

Click Create Account. If the form is valid, you will see a confirmation message:

"Please check your email to confirm your account before signing in."

Open your inbox, find the email from e-picos, and click the confirmation link. After confirmation you are returned to the sign-in page with the message "Email confirmed successfully! You can now sign in."

Important: You cannot sign in until you confirm your email address.
